On October 11 the court granted final approval of a settlement that had been reached in a class action lawsuit wherein Gap offered $240 million in Purchase Certificates to a class of approximately 24 million class members for class members to select free merchandise. The gravamen of the complaint alleged Gap used false or misleading reference prices. DeNittis Osefchen Prince, P.C. represented the plaintiff class of persons in reaching this settlement. Gap vigorously denies the allegations, and the court has not decided who is right.
