DeNittis Osefchen Prince, P.C. along with Hattis & Lukacs recently obtained final approval on March 18, 2022 by the Superior Court of California, San Francisco of a class action settlement on behalf of over 34 million people nationwide (excluding Missouri) with discount retailer Old Navy for alleged deceptive sales practices and “fake” sales. The $15 billion dollar a year retailer agreed to offer up to $340 million in purchase certificates between $5 and 10 in value per class member wherein class members can obtain free goods and merchandise from Old Navy. Old Navy offers hundreds of items for sale every day under $5 which include but are not limited to shirts, shorts, flip-flops, underwear, skirts, leggings, sneaker socks, nail files, hair products, scarfs, socks, belts etc.
The purchase certificates are able to be used with any other discounts and promotions, are transferrable, can be used in store or online for discounts off any items offered for sale and can be used for 18 months from issue.
